This page explains what Kyoto Travel Guide collects when you read our guides, how cookies and analytics work here, and what choices you have. We keep the collection to the minimum needed to run the site.

What This Site Collects

This site runs a small analytics setup to see which pages help people plan Kyoto trips: GA4 for traffic counts and Cloudflare for security and caching. The homepage also reads the national weather bureau's cherry and maple flowering data in your browser, so that lookup never touches a server of ours. We run no ads and sell no data. Booking a tour happens on the operator's own platform, not here, and we never ask for your name or email just to read a page.

Cookies And The Booking Links You Click

When you click a booking link on this site, you leave for the operator's own platform. That platform sets its own cookies, shows its own live prices and takes its own payment, and its privacy policy governs everything from that point on. The cookies set here are lighter: a small analytics cookie that counts the visit, and nothing that follows you between websites. Card details, bookings and email addresses are things this site never sees.

If You Write To Us

A message sent to the address on the contact page lands in one inbox, read by one person. It is kept only as long as needed to reply, never sold, never added to a mailing list, and deleted on request.

Your Choices

You keep the controls. Browser settings can block or delete every cookie this site sets, and the analytics tool honours the standard opt-out signals. If you have written to us and want that message deleted, say so in a reply and it will be removed.
